These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the basis on which Songtho Legal ("we", "us", "our") provides legal services and operates this website. By contacting us, submitting an enquiry, or engaging our services, you accept these Terms in full. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

The provision of legal services is subject to the terms of an Engagement Letter agreed in writing with each client before work commences. Our website provides general information only and does not constitute legal advice.

Fees for our services are set out in the Engagement Letter and are denominated in Thai Baht (฿). Payment is due in accordance with the schedule agreed in writing. We accept bank transfer and other methods specified at the time of engagement.

Where a matter is terminated before completion, fees will be assessed proportionally against work completed. Any amounts paid in advance that exceed the value of work completed will be refunded within thirty days of termination. Fees for work already completed are non-refundable.

We will use reasonable professional care and skill in providing services. Timelines indicated at the time of engagement are estimates only. Actual timelines may vary depending on court schedules, third-party responsiveness, and the complexity of the estate.

Changes to the agreed scope of work must be agreed in writing and may result in adjustments to fees and timelines. We will notify you promptly of any material change that we become aware of.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, layout, and design, is the property of Songtho Legal and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without our prior written consent. Documents prepared for your matter belong to you; however, we retain the right to maintain copies in our records.

The information on this website is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Legal outcomes depend on the specific facts of each case and cannot be predicted with certainty. We do not make any representations about the outcome of any legal matter.

Our services are provided in accordance with the professional standards required under Thai law. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including court scheduling, government processes, or third-party inaction.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with any matter shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for the relevant service. We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any other matter that cannot be excluded under applicable Thai law.

We maintain strict professional confidentiality in relation to all client matters. Information shared with us will not be disclosed to third parties except as required to deliver the services, comply with legal obligations, or where you give explicit consent. 11. Termination

Either party may terminate an engagement by providing written notice. We may terminate an engagement where a client has breached these Terms, failed to provide required instructions or payment, or where we are required to withdraw under our professional obligations. Termination does not affect any outstanding payment obligations for work completed.

12. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or our services shall first be addressed through direct discussion between the parties. If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to the courts of Bangkok, Thailand, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

Clients may also have rights under Thai consumer protection legislation, which these Terms do not seek to exclude.

13. General Provisions

These Terms, together with the Engagement Letter, constitute the entire agreement between us in respect of the relevant services. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver. These Terms may not be assigned by you without our prior written consent.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised date. Continued engagement of our services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Engagements already in progress will be governed by the Terms in force at the time the Engagement Letter was signed.
